Christmas 2007

Braeden's Christmas was very eventful!
The festivities started out last week at the VFW with the Horejsi/Pierre side of the family. Braeden was not feeling well and had been throwing up the night before with the flu. He made it to the VFW long enough to open some presents and see Santa.
The week of Christmas the festivies started out on Saturday with Christmas at Grandpa McCrackens. Braeden got his first Wild hockey stick and golf set. Dad has been showing him how to use them ever since.
Monday, Christmas Eve we went to Grandma/Grandpa Horejsi's. Grandma had a coffee table set up with some Cheese Puffs, Braeden had the time of his life filling his plate with Cheese Puffs, carrying them to a chair, setting them down, eating a few, and then again, and again. He thought it was the coolest thing, like he was such an adult. Grandpa got it on video. He got a ton of gifts. His favorite was a Cookie Monster shirt (he just started saying, "Cookie") from Grandma and a talking Pizza Elmo from Uncle Dustin.
Next we went to Aunt Jana's. Santa Clause came and this was Braeden's fourth Santa so he was really getting used to the idea of him. I think Braeden's favorite part of the evening was picking up wrapping paper and handing it to Santa to throw away. He did this a good part of the night. He loves to throw away paper, trash.
Christmas Day we went to Grandma Sue's to open gifts. Braeden was really getting into opening gifts at this point and passing the wrapping paper to Paul to throw away. He sometimes would forget about the gifts because he was so excited about throwing away the wrapping paper! Braeden got lots of gifts and all the excitement of Christmas was starting to catch up with him. Mom and dad were exhausted and ready to go back to work. I think it is going to take us about a week to get Braeden back to his normal schedule! Can't wait to do it again next year :0)
